Mischief Night and Halloween are right around the corner and both can be scary for property owners. Take a few minutes to get your home or business ready for the extra foot traffic.

Make sure your yard is clear of ladders, hoses, flower pots or other items than can cause a trip, slip or fall. Pets get spooked, too. Keep them inside and secure from trick-or-treaters coming to your door. Use battery operated Jack-O-Lanterns lights instead of candles. If you do use candles, place them far away from the path of trick-or-treaters and their billowing, flammable costumes! Paper yard decorations can easily blow into a lit candle, make sure they are secure.

Have a safe and Happy Halloween!
